Still have question about the missing those fund reports and other financial reports? Well things have not improved, although some work has been done. See Money Watch for the latest. Also find the May Fund Summary Report and the June Fund Summary Report. These reports are less than completely accurate because of errors in the underlying data that have not been addressed. A June Financial Report is included as well as a new report on some lingering problems with the 2007 audit that need attention.

April 2, 2008 Board Watch
A poorly attended and uninspiring affair marked the close of the 2007 year and the beginning of the 2008 year for the Montgomery Village Foundation Board of Directors. Three new members were inducted, extending some of the influence of the three elected last year.
Staff accomplishments were impressive, however, the accomplishments of the MVF Board were meager, with all of the issues the 2007 rookie members ran on still unresolved. The fact that a number of the stated issues were either nonexistent or exaggerated did not stop the desultory electorate from electing a few more of the same in 2008.
Predictably, last year’s officers were re-elected. The yearend finances were pretty much as expected, although a few minor errors and one major error did manage to find their way into the presentation. Sadly, despite notification to the MVF, these will go unchallenged and uncorrected. View the correct version of the 2007 year end report here.
Awards were the best part of the evening with several employees getting to the 5, 10, 15 and 20 year mark.
It is worth noting the just as MVF elections have terrible participation, so do annual meetings – a sad commentary to the level of interest in the community as a whole.
